Quick Start Guide and Help Videos
To begin, click the Sign In button at the top of the page. If you have not yet created an HMA password, click on the “Having trouble logging in?” link, and you will be taken to a page where you can set your password. You’ll get an email with instructions. If you do not find it, check your SPAM or JUNK folder. BE SURE YOU USE THE SAME EMAIL WITH WHICH YOU REGISTERED FOR THE EVENT.
On the session page, you can check to see if handouts have been provided for the class. If so, it’s a good idea to download these ahead of time. Please note that these handouts are the intellectual property of the instructors and are for your own personal use. Also note that not all classes will have handouts provided. Just click on the “Handouts” tab.
Ten minutes before the start of the class, the text below the Chat Log and Handouts tabs will be replaced by a button to “Join the Meeting via Zoom App” button. If you do not already have the Zoom app installed, you will be prompted to install it then will be placed in a waiting room until the host admits you at the start of the class. The Zoom app will appear in a different window than the website.
If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, the videos at the right can help. You can also find plenty of other Zoom tutorials on YouTube.
If at any time you have a problem getting into a class or finding something on the website, click the “Help Chat” bubble in the bottom right corner of the window. We will be online to help you out during all the hours of the event. When we are offline, you can still send a message via the chat bubble and we will get back with you as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE: This is for help chat only. To chat with the hosts/instructors, you will use the chat within the Zoom app.
We hope you enjoy yourselves and learn a lot. Remember, for the classes you don’t attend during the event, you will have through February 29 to watch and review them.
